100 Strokes a Day

I’m sure every girl has heard the advice:  100 brush strokes a day keeps your hair healthy/makes it grow faster.

The truth behind this:  Running the brush over your scalp is what’s really helping your hair.  With every stroke, you’re increasing blood circulation, which in turn stimulates the hair follicles.  When the hair follicles are stimulated on a more frequent basis, it encourages growth.  Although the average hair growth is 1/2 inch per month, by practicing this everyday or every other day, you could see a gradual increase in your hair’s development.

Liner Woe

If your eyeliner is too stiff, don't toss it! Use your blowdryer to

heat the pencil up for a couple of seconds. This will make the liner

soft and easy to glide. Be careful not to get it too hot (then it will

be toooooo soft). No worries...letting it cool will bring the pencil

back to a more manageable texture.

Get the Facts

Paul Mitchell's quick facts on diverted products:

"Diversion is the ugly side of the beauty industry. The professional salon products you buy in grocery stores, drug stores or on the internet is black market, counterfeit or tampered with. Please call 1-888-398-8884 to report diverted product.

1)GET THE REAL DEAL...NOT A BOGUS STEAL.

The only way to guarantee authenticity is to buy professional products at a professional hair salon.

2)EWWW!

Independent tests of counterfeit product found dangerously high levels of bacteria and other impurities that can make you sick.

3)"WHY PAY MORE??"

Diverted product in discount, drug or grocery chains usually costs more than the real thing.

4)STOP BAD HAIR DAYS

A leading cause of bad hair days is using the wrong hair care products. Ask your

hairdresser about the products you need to make hair look and perform its best. "

Professional Products are Meant to be from the Professional

I encourage all to stay away from the "professional beauty product" aisles even in places like CVS and Target. JUST SAY NO!!  These products are not being sold from salon professionals as it says they legally should be. These products can be spoiled/corrupted (one woman came into the old salon I worked at and expected to return a Paul Mitchell product she purchased at a drugstore that literally smelled like manure...no exaggeration here) and your salon professionals are trained on a regular basis as to how certain products can be used or combined (some products can conflict with other products). In addition, the ingredients could be way off from the original. For your health and safety, please stay away from diverted products.
